In 2005, the District received funding from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for a new 75′ Quint Aerial Ladder Truck. Ninety Percent funding for the Truck was provided by the grant with the District providing the remaining 10% funding. The order to build the Truck was placed with Smeal Fire Apparatus in Snyder, Nebraska and the Truck was delivered in January of 2007.
