FIRE INFORMATION:
Control Time: 6 minutes
Property Saved: Living space of the involved apartment and four adjacent apartments units
Cause: Unattended cooking fire
Incident Information:
The Rodeo-Hercules Fire District/Pinole Fire Department/Contra Costa County Fire District (Battalion 7), and the Crockett-Carquinez Fire District responded to a Multi-Family Residential Structure Fire. Upon arrival, Engine 75 reported smoke showing and residents fleeing from the courtyard of the apartment complex. The fire involved the kitchen of a downstairs center unit of the two story apartment building. Residents of the involved unit and surrounding units were able to evacuate prior to Fire Department arrival. The fire was quickly extinguished and damage was isolated to the area of involvement. The living space and contents of the apartment were saved along with multiple adjoining units, there were no civilian or firefighter injuries. Four adults and one child were displaced by the fire and will be staying with friends. Damage estimate, 5000.00 dollars

LOCATION: 339 Violet Road, Hercules

ASSISTING AGENCIES: Rodeo-Hercules Fire District, Pinole Fire Department, Crockett Carquinez Fire District, Contra Costa County Fire District, CAL Fire, Hercules Police Department

FIRE INFORMATION:

Cause: Under Investigation
GENERAL STORY: All Concerned-
At 13:52 this afternoon the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District, Pinole Fire Department, Crockett Carquinez Fire District, Contra Costa County Fire District, CAL FIre, and Hercules Police Department responded to a reported Grass Fire at 339 Violet Way, Hercules. Battalion 7, arrived on scene and reported a grass and fence fire threatening a structure on a slight slope with moderate spread. Engine 75 arrived on scene and was able to control the fire with the help of the Hercules Police Department and citizens from the area. There were no injuries to the Firefighting personnel. No structures were damaged and the fire was contained one quarter acre. The fire was extinguished utilizing first alarm units. Three Engine Companies, and One Command Vehicle staffed by 10 firefighters and 1 Battalion Chief responded to this incident.. The origin of the fire and the cause is under investigation.

Battalion 7, arrived on scene and reported a grass fire threatening a structure on a slight slope with moderate spread. Engine 78, 75 and 373 arrived on scene and were able to control the fire. There were no injuries to the Firefighting personnel. No structures were damaged and the fire was contained one quarter acre. The fire was extinguished utilizing first alarm units. Three Engine Companies, and One Command Vehicle staffed by 11 firefighters and 1 Battalion Chief responded to this incident.. The origin of the fire and the cause is under investigation.
