GENERAL STORY: All Concerned-
At 13:52 this afternoon the Rodeo-Hercules Fire District, Pinole Fire Department, Crockett Carquinez Fire District, Contra Costa County Fire District, CAL FIre, and Hercules Police Department responded to a reported Grass Fire at 339 Violet Way, Hercules. Battalion 7, arrived on scene and reported a grass and fence fire threatening a structure on a slight slope with moderate spread. Engine 75 arrived on scene and was able to control the fire with the help of the Hercules Police Department and citizens from the area. There were no injuries to the Firefighting personnel. No structures were damaged and the fire was contained one quarter acre. The fire was extinguished utilizing first alarm units. Three Engine Companies, and One Command Vehicle staffed by 10 firefighters and 1 Battalion Chief responded to this incident.. The origin of the fire and the cause is under investigation.
