GENERAL STORY: All Concerned- Quint 76 was requested to respond for an extinguished fence fire. Upon their arrival there were flames through the roof of the home at 412 Grenadine Street in the City of Hercules. Quint 76 requested a full structure assignment and lines were put in place for fire attack. The fire was well established in the attic area of the home. Upon entering the front door, Captain 76 noticed marijuana plants and several containers of an unknown substance. A decision was made to start a defensive fire attack from the exterior. Units from Battalion 7, Richmond Fire Department and Crockett Fire Department assisted with extinguishment. Environmental health was requested for the removal of the containers of unknown substances, Hercules police Department stood by to secure the home until the morning. Fire watch was posted throughout the night to handle any hot spots.
