The Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance (FBHA) is committed to remembering always our brothers and sisters in the Fire and EMS service that have been lost to suicide.
On May 20, 2016, at 9:00 PM (local time), in recognition of Mental Health Awareness month, FBHA is asking that fire and EMS organizations place a rig on their driveway and turn on their emergency lights for one minute to express support for all the families that have suffered a loss. Community members are welcome to join at their local participating location or stand in their own driveway and light a candle to remember a loved one.
FBHA encourages that we “show them that we remember” and support families in our own community by sending photos or videos to info@ffbha.org.
The Fire District is in support of a request from the Contra Costa County Fire Agency CISM/Peer Support Team to support this recognition event.
If there are any concerns regarding traffic safety, please conduct this recognition to the rear of the Station.
For more information about FBHA, please visit their website at www.ffbha.org.
